I happened to notice an advertisement for a seminar titled, Managing Multiple Medications to be presented by Ranjan Mahajan, M.D. on January 8, 2013. Many of my clients deal with the side effects of the multiple medications they take. Sometimes, their doctors do not even realize how all of their medications interact together. I wanted to let people know that at least one medical professional is taking notice of this problem, and hopefully has some good information to offer.
I do not know Dr. Mahajan, and this is not an endorsement of his seminar. I just believe that you can never get too much information when it comes to managing your health. Dealing with a disability is hard enough by itself. When you add the complexities of handling multiple medications, it makes it much harder.
Here are the details:
- When: January 8, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- What: Managing Multiple Medications seminar
- Cost: Free with complimentary breakfast
- Where: Roskamp Auditorium, Freedom Square, 7800 Liberty Lane, Seminole, FL 33772; phone (727) 398-0166
- How to make reservations: Call Roberta at (888) 573-4319
The seminar is at a senior living facility. I do not know if they are limiting admission to seniors or not, but I suggest anyone taking many medications try to attend. Dr. Mahajan is a board certified internal medicine physician, and the fact that he is taking the time to address this important issue is appreciated.
